How Do I Find and Use My SmartDirectoryAI Sitemap?

How to use the built-in sitemap

Updated 3 days ago

Every SmartDirectoryAI site now comes with a built-in sitemap that makes it easier for search engines (like Google) to find and index your content. You don’t need to install anything — it’s included automatically.

What Is a Sitemap?

A sitemap is a special file that lists all the important pages of your site so search engines can discover them quickly.

Your sitemap includes:

  • All static pages (Home, About, Contact, etc.)

  • All business listings

  • All blog posts

  • All events

  • All news posts

  • All job posts

Step 1: Find Your Sitemap

Your sitemap is always available at:

https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml

Just replace yourdomain.com with your actual SmartDirectoryAI domain.

Step 2: Submit Your Sitemap to Google Search Console

If you want to make sure Google sees your content as quickly as possible, you can add your sitemap to Google Search Console.

  1. Go to Google Search Console.

  2. Select your website property (add it if you haven’t yet).

  3. In the left-hand menu, click Sitemaps.

  4. Enter your sitemap URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml).

  5. Click Submit.

Step 3: (Optional) Use With Other SEO Tools

You can also submit your sitemap to:

  • Bing Webmaster Tools

  • Ahrefs

  • SEMrush

  • Any SEO or site audit tool that accepts sitemap URLs

Why This Matters

  • Search engines can index your directory faster

  • Businesses listed on your site can show up in results more quickly

  • Blogs and events get better visibility

Summary

✅ Every SmartDirectoryAI site automatically has a sitemap at /sitemap.xml
✅ It includes all pages, listings, blogs, and events
✅ No setup needed — but submitting it to Google Search Console can boost SEO
